I have remotely mounted both of my ts-480's and the tm-v71a. This
affectively eliminates any awareness of fan noise.

Build a shelf under the surface of the desk: set the rig bodies there with a
A quarter inch of plywood mounted in front of the shelf and you have no
noise at all!

Now what about overheating? No problem: a couple of "Stealth" computer fans
which are 12vdc setting on top of the rigs keeps them very cool. NO NOISE
and no overheating!

There are two ways of dealing with it. Listen to the noise or get creative.
