we've got it and I've gotten quite a number of dstar gateways loaded.  so the things not an expensive 
paperweight after all.

Hi Ray;

The only way you'll know for sure is to get the software.

In the software you'll be able to set the power level for each frequency you
put into memory.

I had a 208H and I just set everything to low power and then went from
there.
