can you use a step up audio transformer to increase the impedance to the
microphone from the radio?
I am guessing the 830 likes to se a 600 ohm microphone attached, so an audio
transformer stepping up to around 1meg ohm might make the D104 play a little
better.
I would think you could accomplish this with some sort of Pot and resistor
combination instead of of an OP amp.
