sorry, i didn't clearly answer your question in the first post.
Yes, you are correct in that.
However, it only applies to your TX audio.  You must go into one of the
menus and change the tx bandwidth or tx filter if you want to change it at
all, otherwise it is defaulted to 2.4KHZ.
The rx filters are controled via the dsp controls on the front of the rig.
I do believe you can change the maximum band width of the rx audio as well,
but it will still be adjustable from the front pannel.
