I was referring to the estatic mikes. I said the were old fashion I just
spelled it wrong cuz I wasn't looking..

The Kenwood base mics work with the V7 when used with the 8-pin to modular
adapter.  I don't know anything about the Fation mics but I'm sure they will
work when properly wired and impedance matched.  I think there is a wiring
diagram in the v7 manual for wiring your own microphone.  If you can get a
wiring diagram for the Fation mic then you should be able to get it to work.

Well since people are talking about mikes from the tmv 7 A, is there a cable
or some kind of modification to get an hf mike to work on that radio. I've
got some old fation desk mikes that I'm not using. I tried one on that radio
and it wouldn't work. It wouldn't even transmit. I gather that the hand mike
has a component that keys up the radio, and the desk mikes do not.
