*** Sounds like an excuse to keep eating cookies to me. The diet can't 
magically regrow the cells in my pancreas, so who cares how good I'll feel 
if I try it because I'll still need insulin injections.

If those cells are really gone, paleo isn't going to replace them. The rest 
of the cells in the body might like some relief from crazy glucose swings, 
and overall health improves on an evolutionarily appropriate diet. I don't 
know all that much about humans, but I've seen insulin-dependent animals 
reduce or eliminate their need for insulin injections when placed on a paleo 
diet appropriate for the species. Don't know why it couldn't happen for 
humans as well.
