Helen is right, Kathy, in so many ways.  However, the three times Gretchen
ran away while under age, I went to the police department and filled out a
missing persons form as a run away.  Why?  Because I was still responsible
due to the fact she was a minor.  The second Gretchen turned 18, I stopped
trying to really keep track of her and what she was doing and who she was
with.  Up until then, I did everything in my power to try and keep track of
her because she was under age.  It is a terrible way to live because it
seems as if everything you discover is something bad and it keeps you in
constant termoil.
