Tom,
I suppose IBOC could be a good use of the spectrum if the AM band were
being used in the same way FM is, but it's certainly a waste of time and
money for the present programming. From a practical standpoint, I wonder
how well IBOC can survive static and other types of QRM. Maybe that's one
of the things they're trying to find out.
