What I think most of you who have grown up around the American-protestant biblicistic culture do not understand is, that for both of the historical churches (the Roman-catholic church and the family of Orthodox and Oriental churches) there is something as important as the Bible to belief: Holy Tradition. In fact, the normal orthodox view does not even discern between them: the Bible is a part of the Holy Tradition. I have similar problems whenever I think of conversion from evangelical-lutheran to orthodox.
