Does anyone know if all the fruits and veggies on the SLD are
particularly high in pyruvate? Would the SLD work as well if one just
took a pyruvate supplement? Does taking pyruvate directly raise blood
glucose or insulin? In other words is it possible to get the end result
of glycolysis without the worrisome blood sugar and insulin issues? I
mean we were always taught that fats burn best in the presence of
carbohyrates -- but really it's not the carbos that matter, it's the
substrate availability of pyruvate!
