My thanks to Ken and Leland for the unsolicited endorsements. Your checks are
in the mail along with my Pinhead dues.

In response to david's inquiry, I would offer the qualification that while we
have a great deal of experience in providing a variety of custom-matched
repair materials for terra cotta composite patching and glaze replication, the
pre-requisite to using any of the tools in our restoration toolbox is the
analysis of the causes of the observed deterioration. While these causes are
generally well-known (i.e., water infiltration, corrosion of armatures),
getting the specific details of each particular project right and addressing
each of them appropriately is what allows the effective and durable use of the
repair systems we provide. There are others on the list who specialize in that
sort of analysis, and it seems to us that theirs is the harder task of
defining the problems and what performance is required, so that we can simply
fulfill those requirements.

David,
I have done three buildings recently in glazed block and a couple more
over the years in New Haven, CT. Although the scope varied from
patching, removal, molds or actual Terra Cotta replacement (more details
if you need them), I have always used Edison Products for the work.
Michael is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend him for your
projects: http://www.edisoncoatings.com/
Best,
Leland
