Hi All,

About four or five months ago, I got the yen to try an automatic antenna
tuner. I looked at high power tuners and settled on the LDG T-1000 since I
had their little AT-11MP. I sold my trusty old Dentron MT-3000A and a
couple of other items and bought the T-1000. For the most part, I like this
tuner very much but it is not quite meeting my needs. On frequencies 60
meters and above, it works very well to stretch the coverage of my beam or
wire antennas to all segments of those bands. However, on 80 meters it is a
little picky trying to run my dipole or sloper over the entire band and on
MARS frequencies and on 160 it is quite narrow as far as the segment of the
band it will tune. Where it works well, it is very fast and quite accurate.

The big problem for me is that I am a low band operator as well and need
that coverage as well as MARS.

If there is someone on here who would like to try an automatic tuner that
will handle up to 1 kw ssb I would like to trade this tuner or sell it
outright. For trade I would prefer a manual tuner in the following order:
Tentec 238 A or B, Heath Kit 2060A or Ameritron ATR-15, ATR-30 or ATR-20.
Or, I would take $400 cash plus shipping for my tuner which is in pristine
condition. If anyone is interested, please let me know off list.

Thanks much and very 73.

Kevin :)
