Oliva > "What chemicals did you take before paleo with ADD?"

None except for Ritalin for a short period. I even religously avoided
sugar and caffeine for ten years before going paleo. (Which helped, but
didn't come close to curing me).

Oliva "Was the ADD a medical diagnosis?"
Yes. I was offered Ritalin, which I took for a year. It helped
tremendously, but I quit taking the stuff because I hated the idea. You
read everywhere that ADD may be overdiagnosed. I have no opinion on that
other than a vague suspicion that it's under diagnosed. And the theory
that it goes away in adulthood is sheer foolishness. Adults learn from
necessity to hide it.

Oliva > "I'm really skeptical of the psycho babble jargon"

Me too. But don't think for a second that it's not real. Try having a
conversation with Robin Williams or Joan Rivers.
