11 acres is pretty good, a lot of the poorer rangelands take up to 75
acres per cow, or so said my college prof 20 years ago. In my home
area it is about one acre per cow.
Alfafa has really deep roots and lives several years. Once established
it is hard to kill with drouth. It is considered the very best food
for cattle.
