 Linda-
I just got a book today from Amazon. Its not about CP specificaly but disability in general. Its called "The New Disability History" by Paul K. Longmore and Lauri Umansky. I haven't had a chance to even open it yet but it looks interesting from the cover.

I am hopeful that some of you on the list can help me out...I am taking an
Educational Philosophy grad. class for my Masters in Educational Leadership.
I must read a book about "diversity". Some suggestions are Kozol's books
"Savage Inequalities" or "Amazing Grace", Tatum's "Why are All the Black
Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?" etc. etc. I've read these and
others on race, SES and gender and really want to read something from or
about being disabled.

Can anyone suggest something? It doesn't have to be a book on Education,
but that would be cool...something on growing up CP and overcoming the
adversity we face to be accepted and successful in an able-bodied world?
There's got to be something out there...

Thanks in advance for your help,

Linda
