Hey TJ,
I have 2 IBM Thinkpads a 560 and a 755cd. They both have the same way to
get into the bios setup. You have to hold down the F1 key before you
turn
the computer on. Then it gets you into the setup. HTH

>It sounds to me like the boot order is not correct. I cannot remember
for
sure how to get to the bios of the IBM machines. You might try F1, F2,
F10,
Esc, or Del at boot. If that doesn't work, wait til you get the invalid
system disk error and try the following combinations: Ctrl+Alt+Enter,
Ctrl+Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+F1. There may be others, so you might need to get
creative.
Optionally, look on the keyboard for a system or bios key. It may be
marked
on the keyboard.
Once in the bios, you need to play around with it until you find the boot
order section. You need to make sure it attempts to boot from the floppy
before it attempts to boot from the hard drive or CD (if the CD option is
even available).

>> Hello, I just formatted my hard drive on my IBM Thinkpad laptop
computer.
What is happining is does not come up to the dos prompt. What comes up is
invalid system disk replace disk, and then press any key. This does this
with a boot disk or even no disk in the drive I even removed the disk
drive
and still get the same error. How can I get it to give me the dos prompt
so
I can reload my software? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TJ
