I know Afro-Americans who get skin burn but haven't heard of large
percentages(haven't heard of any) who've gotten skin cancer though I'm
sure there are. I think more melanin plus the fact that many
Afro-Americans don't go out and burn themselves for hours to get brown
might be a contributing factor( Alot of us don't want to get any
"blacker" note quotations). But I can't speak for those of the African
or Arabian continents but I think they cover themselves up for the most
part to avoid burning their skins. Sun bathing occasionally being cautious
of one's burning IS probably effective treatment, but burning is
definitely not.
