Re: Yin and Yang foods.

I too find that there are many warming raw foods, like meat, fish, avocados
and nuts. Raw meat tastes delicious, but I am not able to eat more than 300
grams/day (this is my average over the past few years). Avocados, etc. are
great, but I can't eat them every day (too boring, and heavy for digestion
when eaten in excess). Raw dairy is also warming, but I consume it very
sparingly, since it is not a "natural" food for humans (it appeared in the
human diet less than 10000 years ago).

So, I have found that a totally raw diet was difficult to sustain for me
(still too much raw fruit and vegetables). Not that I don't like them: raw
fruits and vegetables taste great, and are very cleansing, but my digestive
system doesn't agree with my tastebuds... I have tried rare meat, but I
prefer the taste of raw meat (strange, but true), and I like the way I feel
after a raw steak better: I feel calm, and digestion is smooth. The only way
to keep balanced I have found so far is to cook brown rice (2-3 times/week).
I am aware that rice is also recent in the human diet but as far as I know,
rice proteins are not associated to any common disease (contrary to milk
protein).
("Exceptions" to this almost raw diet are made in the weekends, when eating
out with friends.)
