Mary is absolutely right. The executable will creat a DOS flash executable
and a .bin file containing the upgrade.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Flashing New Bios for MOBO

What I thought would be a snap has me at full stop! I'm trying to upgrade
my BIOS settings and one of the setup requirements is that I execute the
.EXE file to be a . BIN file!

Can anyone provide me with the method to acheive this?

Thanks,

Jim Sudela

Jim,

I just upgraded an Abit motherboard BIOS and the file I downloaded was an
exe file. To create the bin file, I navigated to the exe file I downloaded
and double left clicked it. The exe file then created the bin file that I
needed to upgrade the bios with the flash utility that Abit provides.
Possibly if you double left click the exe file it will also create the bin
file that you need.
