As the owner of a web site that gets 1.3 million visitors per year, I
frequently get analogous email letters which show similar strong feelings
or demands about issues with which I haven't the slightest connection.

I struggle with the temptation to share these often highly entertaining
letters in public fora like BP. I see you have yielded to the temptation
in this case. Since the letter was unsigned, yours was probably the right
decision.

Part of the problem is my misplaced sense of compassion in not wanting to
hold stupid people up to ridicule. Probably a larger part is the
realization that under our new and more stringent copyright laws, the
author of a letter, not the recipient, holds all the rights.
