I am trying to decide whether it is worth to spend $800-900 to have a
gastroscopy done by a doctor who is very knowlegeable about CD but,
alas, out-of-network. The alternative would be to go with another doctor
who's in the network, and then maybe have the out-of-network doctor
examine the results. I am a diagnosed celiac, I'm having the gastroscopy
as a check (still not absorbing calcium and vitamins).

So my question is: has anybody had some negative experience with
gastroscopy due to the choice of one doctor rather than another? or is
it a routine procedure, like a blood test, that can be done practically
anywhere?
