Joany Janicki raised an issue about disaster preparedness for
Y2K.  However, there are lots of natural disasters that can occur at any
time, including hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados.  I doubt that celiacs
can eat very well in any shelter, so having a stash of food (and medicines
too) to grab in a disaster seems like a very good idea, or at least enough
supplies of food and water at home to handle an extended period of no
municipal services.  Those of us in earthquake country prepare our homes
for disaster, but we need to have supplies for celiac eating on hand
whether our house falls down around us or not.
