Hello, Listies.

Here is my first post to the list, though I've been lurking oh these many
months.  We enjoy French Waffles for breakfast.

Just thaw out frozen toaster waffles, dip in egg and milk batter (we add
cinnamon and sugar, maybe a little vanilla), and fry in butter.

The trick is to thaw the waffle without letting ice crystals melt into it and
make it soggy. I brush off the obvious ice bits, then put the waffle into the
microwave for about 20 seconds on low or defrost. Several at once works fine.

They hold up a bit better than French Toast, and still have those lovely
little pockets to hold the syrup or jam or whatever you can find!
