I was a big beer lover before discovering I have celiac disease five
years ago.   So, I was very excited to see the posting on August 3rd by
Markus Dubielzig that there is a gluten-free beer.  I bought NEGRA MODELO,
the acclaimed gluten-free beer from Mexico, this past weekend and
thorougly enjoyed it, much to my surprise.  I am a little concerned, though,
because nowhere on the packaging did it claim it was brewed from rice, not
barley.  Has anyone else other than the German celiac society researched
this beer?  Does the German celiac society have the same guidelines as
we do in the USA?
