Pop popcorn and put in oiled roasting pan and place in oven to keep warm. In heavy 2-qt. saucepan stir sugar, Karo, and butter. Stirring constantly, bring to oil over medium heat. Without stirring, boil 5 minutes and remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda; pour over popcorn mixture, stirring to coat. Bake for 1 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool and break apart.
