<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> I wrote up a lengthy two-part summary that took me a very long time to do and for some reason, it is not showing up on the list. So, I thought I'd just "summarize the summary" and if anyone wants a complete copy, feel free to e-mail me. I received a lot of common-sense responses (though I am still very thankful) with tips on how to deal with all the extra laundry. A number of people also told me to have them checked for diabetes. I know it isn't diabetes, but that might be helpful for someone else to keep in mind, as bedwetting can be a symptom of that. Apparently, the kidneys are getting rid of excess sugar. A couple of the suggestions (including the comment about diabetes and the kidneys getting rid of sugar) got me thinking and I figured out that she probably has a urinary tract infection due to a little too much sugar in her diet lately. I think that the gluten adds to the problem, but is not necessarily the only factor at work. (The author of "Dangerous Grains" wrote and told me that there are published studies verifying that gluten can, in fact, be a cause of bedwetting). We started treating it as such, and she is significantly better again! I have been mixing 100% cranberry juice in with a little plain or vanilla (naturally sugar-free, fruit juice sweetened) yogurt. She has been able to hold her urine until she gets to the bathroom and she has only wet a couple times total since we started doing that. I'm sure if we had been more consistent, she would not even have wet those two times, but we had some special events where she had a little sugar again. I hope this information helps someone else! Feel free to e-mail me for the whole summary, including portions of most of the actual e-mails.
