<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Sorry it's taken me so long to summarize, but thanks to everyone who sent me information. Perhaps I should have explained better in my original post. The Benadryl website states that while there are no ingredients that contain gluten in Benadryl, they do not check for cross-contamination and they don't test the products. I'd be willing to take their products, but if they're not checking for contamination in any way, I'm not willing to risk it. However, after hearing from several people that Pfizer had told them that Benadryl was GF and that they had taken it without trouble, I called to check. It was the most unpleasant phone call I've had when checking GF status. They wanted to know why I was calling, why I needed the information, and were just generally quite rude. They confirmed what I had read on the website, so I will not be taking Benadryl products. Also, several people wrote to tell me that they had gluten reactions after taking Benadryl products. I received recommendations for: Equate allergy medication (Wal-Mart) Claritin Zyrtec Allegra Atarax Sulphur 30C Rhus Tox 30c Waldryl (Walgreens) Kirkland allergy medicine (CostCo) Thanks for all your help, Julie in PA http://celiacnet.com *Support summarization of posts, reply to the SENDER not the CELIAC List*
