Here's a question. We all read about the negative effects of dieting. But in order for someone to lose weight, a person has to have a calorie deficit. For example, a person consuming say, 2000 calories a day could cut their intake to 1500 and lose weight; or boost their calories burned to 2500 and lose weight. The first is called "a diet", while the second is viewed as healthy. But what is the minimum level of activity needed for a person to lose weight in a healthy way? Or put differently, what is is the minimum calorie intake needed for health, that one must exceed in order to lose weight?
