<<Disclaimer: Verify this information before applying it to your situation.>> Dear Everyone, Thanks so very much for your time and wonderful information. It is very nice to know that there are such nice folks who are willing to help at a drop of a hat. Thanks again, Kathleen If you have blisters, there is a fat chance you have Dermatitis Herpetiformis (DH). And if you developed it, it is usually because you have hidden gluten. And you cant have iodene, in salt or else. There is excellent site: http://forums.delphi.com/celiac/messages/ with very caring and knowledgeable people to answer questions. And Abigail's GF food list. I have voluntarily posted thousands of GF recipes there. I dont own the site and have no pecuniary advantage from it, just want help others as others helped me when I was beginning with this diet. There is a support group in your area. It is the Southeast Florida Celiac-Sprue Support Group. share with it's recipe or package. . It is only $10 to join Mireille. ======== Go to www.celiac.com; there is a section to find MD's. There is only one listed in FL, in Clearwater. We ended up going to Atlanta to see Dr. Cynthia Rudert, had to pay for it ourselves, but the info she gave us was priceless and we brought it back to our MD's here. Another suggestion would be to find your local support group and ask their opinion. You can find a support group by also going to www.celiac.com. Good luck. ========== http://www.GlutenFreeMall.com/ http://www.Celiac.com/ http://www.livingwithout.com/articles.htm ========= http://www.Celiac.com/doctors.html ========== So sorry you are having difficulty. Does your insurance allow you to go anywhere you want? I think the closest for sure CD Dr. I know to you is in Atlanta. Dr. Cynthia Rudert (sp) I think. If you don't get help closer and want her contact I can get it for you. She recently spoke to our support group in Louisville, Ky. Karen ======== Here's the list of doctors recommended by you!! Someone there was able to give me the name of a celiac expert in NYC ( about 125 miles form my home, but WELL worth the trip!) This made such a difference for me that I would recommend it for EVERYONE with CD! Unfortunately, I no longer have the U's telephone #, but I was able to obtain it last year simply by calling our telephone information operator! Best wishes, Kathy C ================= I don't know for sure if they are still in practice, but my husband was raised down there and was followed by doctors Robert & George Perraud. If you can find them, they could point you in the right direction! Let me know if this is of any help. Susan ============== I live in North Broward county. My GI doc is located in Tamarac. He is in a group with 4 others. His name is Dr Nicholas Katz, I have been seeing him for 5 years and he has a few CD patients, since I started going to him. I may have been his first. He is very kind and patient, I am not sure where you live in Broward but if you live close enough I can suggest seeing him or one of his associates. Let me know and I will forward their number and address for you.
