Is miso soup safe?  As far as I know, it's just miso (fermented soy?
fermented how?), broth (based on what?  miso?), and seaweed and/or green
onions/chives.

I've always considered it safe, but I'm beginning to doubt everything, and
this I don't know enough about.  If someone could educate me on this, I'll
sleep better...
