BULGARIAN JOURNAL OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION POLICY (BJSEP)

In the last 30 years the different branches of pedagogy emerged in a new
science – the Science of Education. The processes in the social
systems are too complicated and their understanding can be achieved in
interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies only. Pedagogy,
Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology provide part of the techniques which have
to be applied in such kind of research. The University/School Policy and
Management and Science Policy and Planning are among the most important
areas of research within the Science of Education. The academic journals
mark the world scientific process. The Science of Education is presented
in more than 3 000 scholarly journals. All these journals are included
in the world system of indexing, abstracting and evaluation. We do hope
that the new journal – the Bulgarian Journal of Science and
Education Policy (BJSEP) – will contribute essentially in
understanding of the present state-of-art of its specific and extremely
important for Bulgaria scope.

A half of year before launching the Bulgarian Journal of Science and
Education Policy (BJSEP), the BulgJESP E-Mail List at Yahoo was
established. The aim of the List is to provide a forum for
discussing of ideas, results and events in the field of
Education/Science Policy, Management and Planning. The List seeks to
link participants with shared interests in those areas. We hope these
people to be future authors, reviewers and readers of BJSEP.
University professors, independent scholars, educators, government
policy-makers are very welcome here. BulgJSEP has a two-fold purpose:
(1) to foster communication and debate among the international
community of professionals and scholars interested in the
contemporary general problems of science and education, and (2) to
serve as a clearinghouse for information relevant to the varied
professional interests of this community, including research methods,
scholarly conferences, and publications.
