Diana,
From my point of view, if you are "not sure whether i should choose a
female or male analyst or whether it doesnt really matter at
all."...Perhaps, male or female really it is not the important question...
Transference will emerge with men and women. The point is: after the not
"much luck with male psichotherapistS"..., wath kind of "luck"...are you
seeking with female psychotherapist...S?. Why don't you remain with ONE,
male or female,
psychoterapist... until you "cross over" the transference...?
But, anyway, if you feel "a female psychotherapist would be more
beneficial" to you..., what do you insist with male psycho. for? Any fear
female psycho. about?...

Asunto: a quick question
In looking for a new personal analyst, i am not sure whether i should choose
a
female or male analyst or whether it doesnt really matter at all. Im female
myself and have not had much luck with male psychotherapists, so i figured
that maybe having a female psychotherapist would be more beneficial,, but
then
again i wondered whether there will be enough transference on to the
therapist
if she was a female. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any
suggestions for me..
Thanku, Diana
