I sincerely recommend that all go out an order Remembering
Anna O. by Mikkel Borch-Jacobsen 1996 Routledge New York
and London. Borch-Jacobsen's work marks a significant dent
in the foundation of Psychoanalysis, but he has not quite managed
to take the historiography far enough to completely level
the edifice of psa. My thesis on the Pappenheim/Breuer/Freud
affair should be a much better sythesis than Borch-Jacobsen has
given, but if any are seriously interested in the Anna O. case
as I am, you will want to carefully read Borch-Jacobsen's latest
on the case. Clearly, Borch-Jacobsen has taught me much about
this case that I was unaware of and I am finally relieved to
see that my research has not been undermined.

Please read this book!
