Dear List members,
Recently I asked for your suggestions regarding the gluten-free guest
suite we have just opened at our home. You can now view the website at
www.chickenparadise.com. If you have more questions or suggestions,
please contact us at [log in to unmask] or call at 210 340-0648.

Below are some of the suggestions and comments that some of you have
made. Thanks very much to all of you, and I hope this will encourage
others to consider the idea of opening their homes to other gluten-free
travelers. We hope to accommodate you all!
.........
No suggestions - your place sounds heavenly!!!!!!
.........
What a great idea. I live near Waco, and I think I would make it a point
to come and stay just for the treat of being pampered by someone who
understands. I selfishly would love a sitdown breakfast with the
knowledge it would be safe, without the hassle of asking a million
questions and feeling that I am such a bother.
.........

What a great idea - I have bookmarked your information for when we are in
San Antonio. We prefer breakfasts that are prepared for us. So gf baked
goods and safely prepared eggs, pancakes, etc., would be nice. Some gf
foods that could be taken for day trips for lunch would be a nice
option.
........

All I have for breakfast is fruit with maybe cheese & ice water - I also
have major food allergies - so no tea coffee or colas for me! My
favorite thing is a refrig. , which we had in our SA hotel room.
.............
MY inclination would be to say I'd like BOTH options available: to have
a gf breakfast served, but also have gf pastries and fridge available if
someone wanted to sleep in &/or take a gf pastry for eating in the room,
and maybe for the next morning when someone goes on to a next place that
does NOT have gf options. Maybe you could have some gf items for sale
for the road!! Having a small fridge either in the room or available is
an attractive option, as our daughter is also a Type 1 Diabetic needing,
ideally, to put her insulin in a fridge when she travels.
I think to have a compilation of restaurant investigations in terms of
gluten free would be extremely beneficial for a visitor to San Antonio
and your bed & breakfast suite.
.............

Thanks,
Anne and Joe Barfield

Yes, and a fliers to show the sight-seeing attractions in the area. I
especially like the shops up the road in San Marcos!
I think to have a GF nice breakfast prepared by you would be heavenly!
