I have an older relative living in Reno who was diagnosed with Celiac fairly recently. She is having a terrible time finding an MD who she can communicate with and who will give her some competent information. The one who diagnosed her gave her a copy of the diet and left the room. No explanation, nothing. I live in another state and have 2 Celiac daughters and have been dealing with this almost 20 years. I have sent her tons of material but she is needing a doctor who will listen to her. Can anyone recommend someone in Reno?

Another question: this same relative is having neck and shoulder stiffness (x-ray says not bursitis or arthritis). She is seeing a physical therapist who is suggesting it many have something to do with Celiac. I've never heard anything like that. Has anyone else?

Jane in CA
