I spoke to the manager of Ener-G Foods this morning and the botulism scare
is a misunderstanding. Apparently a "German" (she said) noticed that their
bread had a higher than usual acid content, and Canada decided that if the
acid content were any higher it could lead to botulism contamination. That
is what Canada is required to do in this circumstance. There has been no
contamination of anything, according to her. So I didn't throw away my case
of bread from there :)

BTW, Rice Dream, that I was so pleased to find because it tastes so good in
lattes and they make a great icecream, is not GF, though you can't tell
from the ingredients list. They wash their rice in barley water. -vance
