Minneapolis/St. Paul hosts the Sixth Annual Walk/Run for Celiac Disease Research and Awareness on Saturday, May 19, 2007. Hundreds of people will walk/run to raise money for celiac disease research and awareness.

The walk/run will be at Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria, MN. Please visit www.celiacwalk.org (click on Minneapolis) for run pre-registration forms, walk registration forms, pledge/donation forms, and directions.

Run registration is $15; there is no registration fee for walkers. Please bring pledges/donations to the registration area the day of the walk. The majority of money raised will go to the Center for Celiac Research at the University of Maryland-Baltimore. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the walk/run starting at 10:00.

This year activities include children games and face painting, visits by Ronald McDonald and Goldy Gopher, autographs by Rich Gannon (2002 NFL MVP) and Rob McClanahan (Forward for the 1980 USA Hockey Olympic Gold Medal Team), musical entertainment, food vendors, food fair, and numerous door and raffle prizes.

A little Minneapolis/St. Paul walk history:

In 2002, we raised $34,000---340 participants.
In 2003, we raised $73,000---850 participants.
In 2004, we raised $70,000---850 participants.
In 2005, we raised $67,000---880 participants.
In 2006, we raised $61,000---1085 participants.

In 2007, we are planning an even more OUTSTANDING event. If you have any questions, please let us know.
