Hi All~~

I'm spending Thanksgiving halfway across the U.S. where I will be the only
celiac. How do I handle the situation? Everyone is a relative, but
misunderstandings can still occur. Specific questions I have are:

How do I suggest the brand of turkey? (I'm not even sure we're having
turkey...might be ham)
How do I learn what veggies are being served?
OR...do I call my niece-in-law and ask if I can be of help in planning the
meal? That seems a bit pushy. She knows I'm GF, but I don't want their
family to change their traditional meal to accommodate me...a few sure
things are all I need.

This could be a mine field, so I want to address it before I go, if
possible. Any help from those who go through this type of thing will be
greatly appreciated.

Cheers~~Ayn in Kansas
