ALLERGY ALERT Presence of undeclared gluten in mi-del brand "gluten
free" and "wheat FREE" ARROWROOT COOKIES OTTAWA, FEBRUARY 15, 2002 - The
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is advising consumers with
sensitivities to gluten not to consume MI-DEL brand "Gluten Free" and
"Wheat Free" Arrowroot Cookies. The affected product contains gluten
that is not declared on the label.

The affected Mi-Del brand "Gluten Free" and "Wheat Free" Arrowroot Cookies
are sold in 227 g packages bearing a code 073102A and the UPC 030684571923.
Bags of the affected cookies identify that the product is distributed by
American Natural Snacks, St. Augustine, Florida.

The manufacturer, Commercial Bakeries Corp., Toronto, Ontario is
voluntarily recalling this product from the marketplace. The affected
cookies may have been distributed nationally.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of
this product.

The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
