Sorry for the delay on this!! Most of the replies were "please post this
info when you get it." I will post again after the trip on where we go and how
it all goes with dining, hotel, etc.

This turned out to be a pay for thing...
Try going to www.goodhealthpublishing.com for a list of 59 national/regional
restaurants and their lists of gluten/wheat free items. There's also a
gluten free dining card that can be presented to restaurant personnel to
ease the ordering process.

Hi: Go to http://www.outback.com/ , http://www.carrabbas.com/ ,
http://www.bonefishgrill.com/ . They are all owned by Outback Steakhouse and have gluten
free menus and location maps on their web sites. Print a copy of the menu,
take it with you, and -------ask for the manager-----. Perhaps there will be
one near where you will be.

This site has alot of information...
Two suggested this site:
http://celiacsupport.stanford.edu/restaurants/restaurants.htm

There are some Whole Foods Markets (Palo Alto and San Mateo). They may have
one in San Jose too...I would check their website. There are also a ton of
Trader Joe's if you regularly shop there. PF Changs..very helpful and no food
problems. My novice experience is all the fine (aka hgher priced) restaurants
are very accomodating (especially the top names in SF)

I have been to the Elephant Bar in Fremont and there were a few things to
eat...I had steak and fries (dedicated fryer) tomato half with olive oil and
parmesan cheese and sauteed mushrooms - made with sherry and worchestershire
sauce. Very good and no problems!

Thanks everyone for the info!!
