Does anyone know if farmed fish - or any other animals - are fed on feed
that contains gluten?   If they are, is the gluten any problem to
celiacs?  

I had some naturally smoked salmon and was very sick.  I called the
manufacturers and was assured that they only use hard wood smoke and
there is no gluten involved.  Then he e-mailed me correspondence which
was about the animal food containing Chinese gluten contaminated with
melamine.  He assured me their feed was not contaminated BUT that
immediately put me on alert.  The fish were fed gluten but he thought it
fine as it wasn't contaminated with melamine.

Any thoughts on this?
