A bit before my CD symptoms started (several years ago- only weight loss
and anemia) I began experiencing a strange problem. Every now and then I
will wake up with extreme itching and heat on my arms and chest. It is
always at night, always on these parts of my body. I really don't think
it's related to dry skin or to a surface allergy- it feels like the itch
is coming from under the skin. It is not a raised rash and doesn't seem
to fit any of the descriptions I've read about DH. It also does not
appear to be triggered by gluten, though I guess it's hard to know for
sure.

Does this sound even remotely familiar to anyone? Maybe there are other
medical probs. that manifest this way??

Any info to clear up this irritating mystery would be great!!
