About a month ago, Caroline and Jacques from Quebec helped me prepare a
very detailed French restaurant card. I tried to post it to this list, but
the accents caused problems. Therefore, listowner Mike Jones helped me by
adding it to the CELIAC website, where you can find it at

http://www.enabling.org/ia/celiac/basic.html#cards

Much of the text was provided by Jacques and reflects his knowledge of
ingredients that may be a problem in Canada. Other items come from
Caroline's French translation of the English restaurant card I use in the
U.S. Any errors of usage are the result of my cutting and pasting. I am
sensitive to soy and canola oil as well as gluten and avoid grain alcohol
and vinegar. Therefore, the posted text contains restrictions that some
potential users may want to delete. Because the text was too long to put on
a card, I encased it in a plastic folder to protect it while the chef used
it for reference in the kitchen.

The food in Montreal is wonderful, and the service is gracious, usually in
both French and English. Bon appetit!
