Dear Listmates:

My daughter with CD (age 18) is having her wisdom teeth removed next week.

Any advice that you have on pain medications, anaesthesias or teeth packing
or dressings would be appreciated.

The oral surgeon has said that he needs to pack the tooth cavity with an
iodine dressing and I remembered reading that celiacs should not be exposed to
iodine.
Is this true?

He also recommended the following medications:

Teutanyl, Versed, Brevitol, Vicordin for pain, possible dressing with
iodoform gauze,
Balsam of Peru iodoform eugenol.

Thank you so much for your help . I will summarize.

Sincerely,

Jill
