Summary of answers:

Steakburgers: most responses indicate OK, but one said she noticed the buns were grilled beside the burgers - thus, not GF! Check with your individual store.

Salad: Okay

Milkshakes: All okay except the ones with added cookies, etc., and should order without the topping of whipped cream on top.

French Fries: Most all responded with NOT if they didn't have a dedicated frier specifically for fries. (Naturally)

Chili: This was a varied response. . . some said it was okay and would go back for more; others said they had to read the ingredients before they would order.

FYI: The website for Steak'nShake is great for finding out everything about their food, except they do not indicate GLUTEN FREE items.

After I asked for this information from you people I noticed a previously sent request and response on Steak'nShake in the Celiac Archives. It indicates that further information would be coming.
(The item below was copied from Celiac letter I found in the Celiac Archives of the 2nd week in August 2003 - #75.)

"In response to requests like yours we will be publishing this
information in the near future. To ensure we make accurate information
available, however, we are in the process of analyzing the nutritional
content of every food item we serve. That work should be completed
soon, and we will post the results on our web site immediately
thereafter. Please check our web site at that time and contact me with
any questions or comments you might have.
