Spoke with Cindy at Hersheys today to determine the source of the modified
food starch in their "Holiday Bits". These are little red and green
canides used for decorating/baking and are found in the same section with
the chocolate chips, etc. Unfortunately, she indicated that the modified
food starch for this product could come from one of three sources - one of
which was wheat. The Hersheys company reps are very knowledgable and
helpful when you call. Cindy indicated that usually the products list
which source they use for the food starch, but on this product, there was
no specific listing. Just thought you might like this info before the big
holiday baking season begins.
