I had an abdominal CT scan at St. Joseph's hospital in London
yesterday and am now having a major gluten reaction. Has anyone
had a similar problem?

I was given a liter of fluid to drink for contrast. It looked like ginger ale
and had no taste. I asked if it was gluten-free, and was assured that it
was. I didn't really have confidence in their ability to answer, but had
already decided I was going to take the test. I was later given an IV
dye contrast solution. I was also told that it was gluten-free.

About 5 hours later, the gluten reaction kicked in - just like before
I went on the GF diet in May. Since I haven't eaten anything
questionable in quite a while, I think there is an association to the
contrast solution.

I will be following up with my internist and with the head of radiology,
but would be interested in any other experiences, good or bad.
