I have a celiac friend with toxic shock syndrome that most likely will not
live through the night.

I know they are very different illnesses, but I wonder if they are in any
way related.  I just did some web searching and in addition to the typical
information about tampons, I saw some things tying TSS to a suppressed
immune system, diabetes, and corticosteroid use.

It seems that those of us with this disease are hit with too much to deal
with sometimes. I guess all of these questions and thoughts are helping to
keep my mind busy.  Please remember my friend and her family in your
prayers tonight.
