The following is the response I received directly from the author, Steve Plogsted, when I inquired about who puts together the www.glutenfreedrugs.com website.  

I am the author of the web site "glutenfreedrugs.com".  Much of the information I obtained from calling drug companies after I received a request from a patient.  Other entries are the result of information I found on the listserv, from a pharmacy journal article, or persons with celiac disease who have contacted drug companies.  The information on excipient ingredients was obtained from several companies and other professional research sites.  All content is as accurate as I can make it but we all know that sometimes misinformation occurs.  There are some individuals who may obtain what appears to be conflicting information with what I have posted and I try to determine the true story when possible.  

I am a clinical pharmacist at a children's hospital. I hold a doctoral degree in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati and I am a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist.  The work I do is not affiliated with my hospital.  They are aware of my interest and activity but do not support my website in any manner.  

I do not have celiac disease.  The dietitian I work with got me involved with celiac patients several years ago.  I do this as a public service and derive a lot of satisfaction from my work.  I do not accept any money for researching drug products or maintaining the web site.
