dear folks,

the overwhelming response i got was that altoids are not gluten free. many
people said they
heard or read that some place, possibly from the archives which i checked
after a suggestion that i do that before asking questions.

two people said they had contacted the company and were told they were not
gluten free. one mentioned that the conveyor belt is dusted with a wheat
product to keep them from
sticking.

i also got warned about artificial and natural flavors ~ yikes.

one person said that they used altoids a lot and didn't have a reaction so
assumed they
were gluten free.

another said she doesn't know, but she definitely has a reaction to altoids.

so, i guess i'm off altoids. anybody know a good breath mint that is gluten
free?

thanks,

nora
